Based on the latest weather forecasts and guidance from state and local agencies, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will dismiss early on Tuesday, March 22.
All high schools and middle schools will dismiss at 11:45 a.m.; elementary schools will dismiss at 12:45 p.m. After-school activities will also be canceled or postponed. The safety and security of our students and staff are our top priority. Students should bring home their Chromebooks and personalized technology on Tuesday in the event any of our families are impacted by additional weather concerns. Staff will also be dismissed early in accordance with their school schedule. Any administrative staff not serving at a school site will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. to ensure that they are home safe before the worst of the weather impacts. Please stay tuned to local news outlets, ebrschools.org and the EBR Schools Facebook page (@EBRPschools) for more information. For additional guidance on early dismissal and schedules, please refer to our emergency procedures and delayed start guidance.
