Disciplinary Procedures for Dress Code Violations
The following is approved EBR disciplinary procedure for students in noncompliance with the mandatory uniform policy:

Casual Dress Day Guidelines
In addition to items outlined in the EBR Parish Dress Code, the following guidelines must be followed by students on casual dress days:
The following is approved EBR disciplinary procedure for students in noncompliance with the mandatory uniform policy:
- First offense: Stickers are placed on the students shirt collar and must be signed and returned the following day.
- Second offense: telephone call by the principal or designee to the parent/guardian.
- Third offense: parent/guardian will be required to attend a conference with the Principal or designee.
- Fourth offense: 1/2 day suspension with the requirement that the parent/guardian return to school with the student and participate in a conference with the principal or Dean of Students prior to the student's return to class.
Dress Code
- All students must wear neat and clean uniforms daily.
- Navy blue uniform pants, shorts, capris, skirts, and jumpers that are not more than (5) inches above the knee.
- No jeans, biking shorts, stretch pants, or sweat pants are allowed.
- Burgundy shirts or blouses with a collar. Burgundy, white, or navy turtlenecks are acceptable in the winter.
- T-shirts (underwear) as outerwear are never acceptable. Only white/navy T-shirts can be worn under burgundy uniform shirts.
- Rubber sole shoes or sneakers are preferred.Shoes must be laced and tied properly at all times. Velcro flaps must be securely fastened.
- Belts must be worn on clothing that has belt loops.
- Shirts and blouses must be tucked in at all times. Pants must be worn at the natural waistline and not dropped below the waist. No large belt buckles.
- Navy blue, burgundy, and/or white coats, sweaters, and sweatshirts are preferred and should not display inappropriate advertisement or cartoon characters.
- Students may not wear coats in class all day. Hoods, caps headbands, bandannas, hats, or gloves are not to worn in the building.
- Jewelry cannot be worn by boys (earrings, chains, necklaces, wristbands) and girls are only allowed to wear stud earrings due to safety concerns.
- Cedarcrest Spirit Day is held each Friday. Students may wear spirit T-shirts or club t-shirts with their regular navy bottoms.
- Boys haircuts must be neat and without extreme markings.
- Girls must wear small navy, white, or burgundy bows, barrettes or balls only for hair accessories.
- Face paintings, decals, glitter, tattoos (fake or real) etc. are not allowed.
- Make-up is inappropriate for elementary students. Perfume/cologne should not be brought to school or used during the school day. (many students have allergies).
- Boys and girls must wear white, navy, or burgundy socks only.
Casual Dress Day Guidelines

- Shorts and skirts must be within 5” of the knee
- No tank shirts or undershirts as outer garments allowed
- No cutoff or spandex shorts or pants allowed
- All students shall be required to wear a belt with pants that have loops and shall not be excessively baggy
- Pants must be worn at the natural waistline. Pants or shorts that expose a student’s underwear are not acceptable
- See-through apparel, bare midriffs, bare backs, strapless, or items with spaghetti straps are not allowed
- No sandals, flip-flops, house shoes, Crocs or other shoes of this nature are allowed
- No t-shirts with profane or obscene language are allowed
- No t-shirts with alcohol, drug, or tobacco advertisements printed on them are allowed
- No athletic uniforms (jerseys, padded or unpadded pants) or cheer leading uniforms unless otherwise specified by the administration
